A not cruel review for a cruella movie
A personal review with an unbiased touch from the people about Disney’s latest live-action movie: Cruella
After a global health crisis, the world seems to take back the reins of life before the Covid. One of the biggest manifestations of this is seen in the film industry. Movie theaters are beginning to open around the world, and people with less fear attend to see what platforms such as Netflix, Disney +, HBO, among others, have offered us in the comfort of our homes. But let’s face it, there is no way to go to the cinema to see the movie you like. Thus, Cruella was released with great fanfare in theaters in May 2021.
Cruella: Review
Since the first trailer for the film was released, where they showed the story of a misunderstood villain seeking revenge, a victim of circumstances, with a despised genius, in a dark environment where crime would be an essential ingredient, I had the clear impression that it would be Disney’s Joker. The similarities seemed obvious, and more so considering that Todd Phillips’ Joker (2019) remains in everyone’s collective memory.
